The Yamaha BD-S1900 is the new Blu-ray disc-player introduced by Yamaha Electronics recently. Both this and another model called BD-S1065 were designed to complement the new and existing AV receivers manufactured by the company. To match the higher end AV receivers of the company, the disc-player is equipped with custom installation features. The model supports BD-Live and Bonus View features which provide secondary video/audio for enhanced commentary and information and Virtual Package feature which is meant for providing existing and future entertainment options via the USB memory. The Yamaha Blu-ray disc-player also offers 1080p/24Hz compatible HDMI and 7.1 multi-channel output with 4×2-channel DACs.
The Yamaha BD-S1900 is easily integrated into custom installations owing to an RS-232 interface, IR In/Out ports and HDMI CEC functionality. In order to support all HD formats, direct bitstream, multi-channel Linear PCM outputs via HDMI and Analog down-mixed 2-channel output are provided into the BD-S1900.
The additional video and audio features included in the disc player are x.v.Color and Deep Color compatibility, 1080p playback for DVDs, photos and personal videos, Pure Direct for providing high sound quality CD playback through analog audio output and 192 kHz/24-bit audio DAC.
The Yamaha BD-S1900 has an onscreen display GUI for easy operation and is compatible with the Yamaha’s SCENE automatic system control feature. Some of the other advanced features included in the Yamaha BD-S1900 player include its extensive disc/format compatibility, Dynamic Range Compression and three dimmer modes. The aluminum front panel and gold-plated output terminals gives a very elegant and classy look to the disc player.
