The same problem nearly always persists for every digital entertainment enthusiast, namely, how to manage your gigantic and overflowing library of digital data? If you are addicted to home entertainment then you must have a lot of digital content, such as photos, videos, full length movies, audio files and much more. Over the time this database grows rapidly and it becomes very messy to deal with, manage and organise. With these issues in mind, Sony has created a complete home entertainment server that not only entertains, but also organizes your file collection. We are talking about the Sony HES-V1000.

The HES-V1000 features a full HD 1080p 200 disc Blu-ray disc/DVD/CD changer, blu-ray disc/DVD/CD burner, and a 500 GB hard drive. That amount of hard disk space can either accommodate around 137 hours of video, or 40,000 songs, or 20,000 digital photos. Even those few blu-ray players that do include hard drives, cannot usually house to much digital content. In fact, the Sony PS3 60GB is actually one of the most accommodating blu-ray players on the market with its large hard drive. Of course, the HES-V100 offers nearly ten times the storage space.

Other than store files, videos, and music, the entertainment server also plays back content with sound quality, thanks to the included Dolby Digital and DTS digital surround sound modes. This entertainment server also supports x-applications, i.e. x-Pict Story HD and x-ScrapBook, which all let you to create and organise your memories in the form of slide shows and scrapbooks. Its easy-to-use interface and connectivity ports ensure maximum comfort in connecting the device to various HiFi gadgets, or televisions like the Sony Bravia series.
