Toshiba HD-E1 HD DVD Player: Still a quality Product even though HD-DVD is dead
Author: martin // Category: DVDThe price tags of the Blu-ray players are still scary. But some of Toshiba’s models are already out for nearly half the price of its blu-ray competitors. The price factor is definitely making news. When it was launched everybody was shocked to see the price as four hundred and fifty pounds but now the player is available for three hundred and fifty pounds online.
Even though the HD-E1 player is the first of its type to be launched in Europe, it is actually second generation hardware. The Toshiba HD-E1 is a very slim and is a little slow to start up. The Toshiba HD-E1 high definition player looks pretty good design wise. It is only sixty five mm high which makes it fit perfectly under most of the TVs. The HD-E1 player from the Japanese manufacturer Toshiba has a minimalist and attractive look about it and will have only eject and power buttons on show. There is a nearly invisible flap which on pulling down will reveal the Stop, Play, Skip and the Pause buttons, as well as the USB ports which are two in number. These ports are depicted as the ‘Extension Ports’ rather than the USB and these are stated in the manual as the extension ports for the future inclusion of additional options.
The ability to stream videos from the USB devices might have made the player more attractive. But upgrading the player may allow this to happen. The Toshiba player also has a black and silver finish.
