Use your standard Ethernet cable to connect to your router. Setting up your wireless Sonos system and enjoying your Sonos experience is very fast and easy with Sonos BR100 Zone Bridge. User-friendly and versatile, you can use a simple button press to start SonosNet, a secure AES encrypted, peer-to-peer wireless mesh network that enables other Sonos products to control and play music wirelessly. The system will allow all your ZonePlayers and Controllers to work wirelessly and can be placed anywhere in your house. Wherever you have a vacant nook or corner, Sonos BR100 Zone Bridge will fit in conveniently. Incredibly cost-effective, the ZoneBridge does not play music like the Sonos ZonePlayer. It extends the range of your Sonos system and expands the Controller’s wireless coverage. Equally good for connecting other products to the Internet, it has two Ethernet jacks on the back to bring standard Internet connectivity to your set-top box, PVR, PC, Game Console or NAS drive.

Sonos BR100 Zone Bridge uses a 2-port switch for Ethernet connection which runs at 10/100Mbps, auto MDI/MDIX. For Internet connectivity, it needs DSL, cable modem or LAN-based high-speed Internet connection. Also, Internet functionality may require payment of separate fee to a service provider. As for power supply, it uses a slim external power adapter with an output of DC 5V, 2A. The connect button is automatic wired or can use wireless setup of Sonos Digital Music System. The LED indication is there to indicate the ZoneBridge status. With dimensions 4.33×4.33×1.61 inches, the Sonos BR100 Zone Bridge weighs a mere 270gm. What’s more, you can also use the ZoneBridge to extend the range of the Sonos system or expand the wireless reach of the Controller. It is simple to stream music wirelessly to a remote location by placing a ZoneBridge in between a ZonePlayer in a remote location and the rest of the Sonos system. An ideal device for retrofits, where all ZonePlayers might be in one location instead of being placed throughout the home, the ZoneBridge is a useful and interesting gadget for the home.
