Whether you’re an Xbox fan, a PC purist or a Playstation junkie, great toys, from chairs to new keypads, can make gaming more realistic, and more fun. The best thing about accessories for games is that, as long as they keep up with ever-changing technology, they can have some stunning features that you won’t regret investing in.

For PC gamers

Flight simulation games should make you feel like you’re at the cockpit, and the Pilot Seat 2010 does just that. You can configure 36 personalised functions per game with 12 programmable G-keys. There are two fast USB ports, and you can customise the backlighting colour to your taste, if you’re style conscious. It retails at £149.99.

Nifty Xbox 360 accessories

Razer, who specialise in toys for gamers, are coming out with two new accessories for games soon. The first is the Chimaera headset. It’s comfortable and easily adjustable, and comes with a microphone to chat to other gamers. The Chimaera is one of the few headsets that offer full-stereo grade sound, making sound affects intense and clear. The headset will be priced at $129.99 (about ?85).

The second accessory soon to be released by Razer is the Razor Onza professional game controller. The cool black gamepad, with electric green lights around the rim, has adjustable tension for analogue sticks. It’s got two multi-function buttons for gamers and offers high quality reliabilty for intense gaming. It’s set to be priced at $49.99 (around £32).

Interactive PS3 gaming

The Playstation Eye is a USB camera that introduces interactive gaming – play with up to six people. The Eye also has a built in microphone and can reduce background noise, ensuring concise sound. The frame rate is really fast, at 120 frames per second, giving you clear video quality. The Playstation Eye priced at £39.99.

Not necessary, but…

While gaming accessories aren’t really necessary, they make gaming a whole lot more fun. Whether they’re for the PC, Xbox or Playstation, it’s worth looking into investing in some accessories for games. If you’re the kind of person who can’t do without gaming, you won’t look back for a second.
