Author: thomas  //  Category: DVD

The TH-L1 is a home entertainment system from Japanese manufacturer JVC. It is a surround system with just one-box which makes a great difference. It is not only designed to give a 5.1 sound from the DVD player, but is also compatible with USB flash drives, Apple iPod and even video sources 1080p. The three hundred and sixty watt system consists of a main unit which is vertically mounted which is styled in black with has flashy blue lights, a compact 100W subwoofer and five small satellite speakers which are cubical.

The back side of the main JVC unit is fully packed with the sockets. The device has one HDMI output and two inputs, which enable the user to loop through a 1080 pixel video signal but sadly the system won’t decode Dolby Digital and DTS bit streams carried over HDMI. The front part of the JVC TH-L1 device has a port which allows the user to charge, connect and control the iPod using the device’s remote. The user can even watch video files from the iPod video. It also has USB inputs which can accommodate MP3, JPEG, WMA, MPEG-1, WAV, MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 files.

The JVC home cinema setup is easy and quick, as the speaker cables are labelled and the setup menu is well smartly presented and designed. Overall the JVC TH-L1 is a very impressive system which can deliver brilliant sound quality and the additional features of iPod and USB connections are making it more desirable.
