Philips HTS6100: Simple yet Stylish Soundbar

The HTS6100 is a simple but stylish sound-bar system from Royal Philips Electronics. It also has an additional feature of response to low frequency with the help of a dedicated subwoofer. The performance of this system is outstanding in terms of its sound quality and the settings for virtual surround are absolutely convincing. The Philips home cinema system has really great looks with its modest speaker grills and a shiny black panel which is positioned in the centre of the system.

The panel acts both as its cover and as a display for the DVD player of the system. This sound-bar system is also having an included kit for wall-mounting the system. The most important part of the system is its subwoofer. The subwoofer is designed in a way to balance with the sound-bar by adding lower frequencies without disturbing the virtual surround effect of the system. The Philips HTS6100 has DTS and Dolby Digital built-in decoding system, and also has a matrix system which creates surround effect its single unit.

The device has input ports like a 3.5 mm port for a MP3 player and also has a USB port which enables the player to play JPEG, DivX, MP3, WAV and WMA files. The output range of the device is having a composite, HDMI and component. The Philips HTS6100 home cinema also has the capability to upgrade the files to 1080 pixels. The overall sound quality of the device is really impressive with the ambisound mode which gives a very improved audio to its users.
