Now that’s what I call a home cinema system. As soon as I came across JVC’s TH-P7 I saw that its looks were terrific but that turned out to be quite secondary here. It looks like a piece of art drawn with a lot of time and effort.
It basically consists of a DVD player and a speaker system. But don’t allow the simplicity of this to fool you. In reality it is the top of the line media player that has explosive speaker system to give it company. Watching movies had never been that much fun before.
The DVD player supports different kinds of media. It can play DVD- video, RW & R, it can play CD- R & RW, SVCD/VCD and MPEG 4. It completely supports DivX format, so no worries on that front. If you want to enjoy songs, the JVC TH-P7 plays MP3 as well as WMA audio files. And you can also view JPEG digital still images using it. For top quality viewing experience it uses progressive scan. And it comes with the capability of DVD express play start.
It also has a tuner that plays FM and AM bands. You can preset up to 30 FM channels and 15 AM channels. It has Scart (with RGB) terminal for TV sound in and Video out. It also has USB (2.0 full-speed) port.
The other significant part of the system is the speaker surround system. It comes with floor-standing 2-way height adjustable as well as wall mountable front and surround speakers. For further sound enhancement it applies digital surround mode for 2ch sound through Dolby Pro logic II. Its centre unit has built-in 5.1ch full digital amplifier. It also has 16cm passive sub-woofer. The total out put that comes out can be broken into 40 watts per channel, 100 watts from centre and 100 watts from subwoofer.
For any home cinema enthusiast who doesn’t want to compromise on any front, this system is the perfect one.
