A video projector, the Optoma HD86 has been recently released. It features HDMI input and has a 1700 Lumen image and a contrast ratio of 700:1. With extremely low noise levels of 29dBA, the projector has an aspect ratio of 16/9. Its matrix type is DLP and a native resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Weighing about 8kg, the smart and stylish video projector from Japanese manufacturer Optoma is ideal for home as well business use. Simple to use and easy to operate, it is user-friendly and can be used with maximum ease, anywhere and anytime. It uses the DLP™ Display Technology and comes with a 5 year warranty, so that the user can sit back and relax and not worry about the gadget developing snags. As for connectivity, the projector has 3 HDMI inputs, 1 Component, 1 VGA D-Sub 15pin, 1 S-Video and 1 Composite input. For control, it has 2 12V Trigger while the projection lens throw ratio is 1.54 ~ 1.93:1.

With dimensions 41.66cm weight, 14.22cm height and 32.51cm depth, the projector has a general aspect ratio of 16:9 and its brightness is 1600 ANSI Lumens. The Optoma HD86 has been introduced along with a sibling, the new HD home cinema projector HD20 and both are part of the ThemeScene line-up. Optoma HD86 is a full HD 1080p DLP model. The HD86 is higher priced and also has higher specifications as compared to HD20. The Optoma HD86 offers professionally tuned image processing with PureMotion2, 700:1 contrast ratio and a trio of HDMI inputs.
