Acer X1261: Very Sleek but Affordable HD Ready DLP Projector

The Acer X1261 is the new HD-Ready DLP projector which belongs to the Value series of Acer projectors. The typical feature of every Value series projector is the highly detailed display of text and images and the new entry into this series is no different from the rest. With a brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens, 3700:1 contrast ratio and native XGA resolution, the Acer X1261 projector delivers every image and text with an amazing clarity and sharpness. The resolution of the DLP projector is 1024 x 768 pixels and the picture format compatible with it is 16:9. The lamp technology used in the projector is P-VIP and the required lamp power is 180 watt.

The DLP projector features the advanced Acer Colour-Boost II technology that enhances the colour performance on any surface, be it white or coloured. In addition, the unique ColourSafe feature of the projector prevents colour decay that usually results from prolonged use of the projector. The in-use power consumption of the Acer X1261 projector is 224 watt and with the advanced EcoProjection technology featured in this projector, the standby power consumption is reduced up to 50 percent without affecting its superb performance. The compatible video signals of the DLP projector include PAL, NTSC, 1080p, 1080i, 576p, 720p and the horizontal frequency range is from 30-100 kHz.

In the standard mode, the noise developed by the Acer projector is around 30 dB, while in the Eco mode; it is reduced to 26 dB. It has a vertical keystone correction and the overall weight of the projector is 2.2 kg.
