HC6500 LCD Projector: Gift from Mitsubishi to Film Buffs
Author: martin // Category: ProjectorsMitsubishi Electric has on so many occasions come out with products that have beaten the expectations of film fans. They innovate and deliver and the company’s latest projector, the HC6500, is a perfect example thereof. Whether it’s the technology or presentation, Mitsubishi does not fail, and neither does the HC6500 LCD projector.
Let’s look into the video/image quality first. After all, the satisfaction of eyes is the prime concern here. It offers a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, brightness of 1200 lumens and contrast of 15000:1. That’s too technical information and may not help you much per se. So here what it means to the viewers,
The razor sharp image quality that you get is so good that it feels like it has come alive. The colours, colour tones, brightness, contrast, etc. everything seems to fall into place here. The experience offered by the MItsubishi HC6500 projector is just fantastic. 3D colour Uniformity correction and optional colour purity expansion filter only enhance the viewer expansion.
Even the shape is very different and attractive, of course. The overall size is comfortable and weight of 7.5 kg is also not too much. With height adjuster it becomes bulky, but that’s a common problem.
To keep it ahead of competition, it has all the connectivity options. 2 HDMI of v1.3, component video port, a D-Sub PC port, an RS-232 Serial Bus, etc. I mean it’s full of all the latest and desirable options. Another good thing about it is the very low noise it produces.
There are a couple of issues that need to be outlined here. It doesn’t have frame interpolation capability and sometimes the contrast adjustment could be irritating.
On a whole, it’s an LCD projector that any film enthusiast can have in his home and have a great time watching movies.
