The Panasonic DVD recorder is a slim unit and has an attractive design with a silver finished front mirrored panel. The front portion contains a fold down panel which hides few connectivity inputs. It includes an SD memory slot, and DV input for your digital camcorder like the Mustek DV316. The rear of the unit has more connectivity options like a video input, a “HDMI digital output” specifically for digital TV set flat screens. The audio provisions are the “standard stereo outputs” along with the “optical digital output” which will help in connecting the multi channel DTS signals and the Dolby digital top an amplifier for a surround sound setup.

The DMR-EX85 from the Japanese manufacturer Panasonic offers all the features that one would look for in their DVD recorder. The Disc navigator feature helps you find the “recorded titles” very easily after organizing them according to your choice. The presence of several editing functions like deleting, labelling, play list creation, and chapter division makes operating and organizing the recorded data more neat and easy to access. The DVD recorded does not give any reasons to complain. However the digital programmes from freeview have impressive images and picture quality than the analogue broadcasting which tend to have a restraint in display.
