The Samsung DVD-SH897M is the new generation DVD recorder that will indulge you in on-screen entertainment. The overall weight of the recorder is approximately 3.6 kg and has a height of about 5.5cm and width of about 43cm.
With its spacious 320GB memory, all your favourite programmes can be easily stored and you will always have them ready to watch. The Samsung DVD-SH897M 320GB hard disk drive is capable of holding up to 534 hours of material in its memory. The combination of the digital tuner integrated into the recorder and freeview playback will let you access a wide range of freeview channels. The multi format DVD recorder will also let you have a host of free-to air channels at your fingertips.
The power requirement of the Samsung DVD recorder in the operational mode is about 28 Watt and the required voltage is AC 230V. On the front side of the recorder there is a terminal each for connecting IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) (4 PIN FireWire), 4 PIN USB Type A and composite video/audio input. However, on the rear side there is a port for HDMI output, two ports for SCART and one port each for SPDIF output, component video output and audio line-out. The remote control that comes with the Samsung DVD-SH897M is built by the Infra-red technology and is of the Universal type. The recording formats that are compatible with the DVD recorder include DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD+R/DVD+RW. The digital audio formats compatible with SH897M include Dolby Digital output and DTS digital output and has a stereo output mode.

Do you call this a review.. it doesnt tell me anything that isnt printed in the owners manual. Its just a brief and in complete specification sheet.

Dear friends, i have this sh897m recorder but its only zone 2 and not multizone, does anyone know how to upgrade it to become a multizone?
