The LED backlit LCD television is known as LED TV but it was actually made popular by Samsung, Philips, Toshiba and LG. But this term should not be confused with LED displays which is a totally different thing altogether. The LED backlit LCD television is actually a CLD television which uses LED backlighting whereas in tradition LCD television there are fluorescent lights.
