LG has recently come up with the BD300, which exclusively deals with the Blu-ray format, much unlike what was observed when the format war between the Blu-ray and HD DVD was in full swing. During that time LG committed the folly of combining the two formats to produce the disaster called BD100. The new LG BD-300 High Definition Blu-ray DVD Player is clearly different from the rest of the pack. One significant feature that is responsible for this distinction is the player’s Blu-ray playback complete with internet technology. In essence, the device can be described as a network Blu-ray disc player which allows you to use Netflix instant streaming and BD-Live. The feature is in many ways unique to this LG product, as most competitor products, including the Sony BDP-S300, lack it completely. Using the Netflix subscription you can stream and watch films straight from Netflix to your television. The BD Live, on the other hand, is an interactive technology that allows you to access online features, such as product stores, special clips, downloads, and other exclusive features.
