Onkyo was one of the first members of the HD-DVD consortium to offer a HD-DVD player along with Toshiba, but production has now stopped completely after the end of the format battle.

There is little known about the blu-ray player, but this: it features decoders for the highly sophisticated Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio technologies. As to be expected, this player will accord perfectly with Onkyo’s AV-receivers such as the TX-SR 606. More details and pricing will be announced shortly before the release this autumn.
