Home Cinema Set Up: A Simple Step-by-Step Guide

It is easy to set up a home theatre system and enjoy a surround-sound movie experience at home by following some simple steps. Always attach cables to speakers first and then the amplifier. Systems with colour-coded jacks and sockets are easier to connect. To tune a receiver, manually enter the stations yourself as the automatic scan can be often be inaccurate. Since most living rooms do not conform to the requirements of a home cinema system, you can place the front speakers metre to the left and right of the TV, facing the sofa. The centre speakers can be placed as near to the TV as you can, preferably directly below. The subwoofer can be placed in the middle of the front wall. while the rear speakers can be places at opposite corners of the room. Once the speakers have been placed and cabled to the amplifier, you can program the system accordingly. This is important for a realistic surround sound experience.
