Though the VHS format can be considered an outdated technology since the advent of the DVD and the recent arrival of the Blu-ray disc, owning a DVD-VCR combi allows for the peace of mind of knowing that old VHS tapes found lying about the house, can easily be transferred to DVD for easy referral in the future when strolling down memory lane.
