Samsung HT-WS1: Wireless Soundbar with Virtual Surround Sound

Sound bars have an undeniable appeal. They are certainly better than those heavily resonating speakers and booming amplifiers that are pre installed in television sets. Installing them in not a concern and their pricing is done in modest numbers. Sound bars prove to be a great deal for smalled sized rooms, where they can easily provide virtual surround sound. One such sound bar is the Samsung HHT-WS1 which is sleek, effective and affordable. Styling is not what the Samsung HHT-WS1 specializes in, but providing efficacy is its forte. However, Samsung has implemented some shades of its traditional style in the HHT-WS1 in the form of Touch of Colour styling, tasteful indicator lights, touch sensitive control surfaces and a wireless connection linking the sound bar to the subwoofer module. There is a stand placed beneath the sound bar which is bright and positions the device comfortably. The white light exuded by the Samsung home cinema impressive and the subwoofer module is also no less fair. The rear panel of the Samsung HHT-WS1 is covered by grille cloth and the circular port provides space for extra connectivity. (more…)

The HTS6100 is a simple but stylish sound-bar system from Royal Philips Electronics. It also has an additional feature of response to low frequency with the help of a dedicated subwoofer. The performance of this system is outstanding in terms of its sound quality and the settings for virtual surround are absolutely convincing.
