Better LCD DLP Television: Can these Two Technologies be fused into One?

Author: daniel  //  Category: Television

LCD and DLP televisions are in great demand all over the world. But there is a big debate as to which one is better LCD or DLP television. Both the technologies have their own pros and cons but for deciding we need to compare a few things. The first thing that we should compare is the clarity. A DLP 50 inch television provides a resolution of 1280 x 720 but a 22 inch LCD television has an EDTV resolution of 854 x 480 which makes it slightly better. The clarity may also vary because there is certain distance that you have to maintain in order to get a crystal clear picture.

On the other hand LCD technology is not good enough for fast moving pictures but A DLP television provides superior quality fast moving pictures. Another positive point for a DLP television is that LCD televisions have a shorter life span. A DLP television will provide a hassle free performance for a number of years. We can also compare these televisions as per the contrast ratio. The LCD television provides a contrast ratio from 350:1 to 800:1 on the other hand a DLP television provides a contrast ratio of 1000:1 to 1500:1.

But actually these specifications can be a bit misleading because the LCD television provides a better contrast ratio. It is very difficult to decide as to which one is better LCD or DLP television but you should always make a choice depending on your needs as both technologies have there own benefits.
