LED Backlight TV provides a Wider and Deeper Colour Gamut

Modern LCD TVs come with an advanced feature called LED lighting and are therefore referred to as LED backlight TV. These TVs use light emitting diodes (LED) for backlighting instead of the conventional fluorescent lights. An LED backlight TV has the capacity to produce images with greater dynamic contrast as compared to the traditional LCD TVs. These TVs are also quite slim owing to the Edge-LED lighting and consume much less power. They offer wider colour gamut and produce less environmental pollution.

The Samsung UE46B8000 is one of the many LED backlight TVs launched in the market recently. It has a screen size of 46 inches and the aspect ratio is 16:9. The LED backlight TV is full HD and has the HDTV compatibility as well. Some of the attracting features of the LED TV include HDMI-CEC, Auto Standby, Auto Channel Search, Auto Volume Control, Picture in Picture, Pivotable Foot, Eco Mode, Sleep Timer, Timer, Clock, Videotext and Multi Language OSD. The in use power consumption of the LED TV is 130 watt while in the standby mode; the power consumption is 0.1 watt. The incredible image delivery is due to the Mega Contrast and Wide Colour Enhancer Pro feature of the TV. The amazing sound effects delivered by the TV are due to the Dolby Digital Plus, SRS Tru Surround HD, subwoofer and a downfiring speaker.
