LG 26LG3000 LCD TV: True Value for your Money

Just a cursory look at the features of LG Electronics’ 26” LCD and the accompanying price is enough to generate a lot of curiosity. I, for one, had to go through both of these twice to believe my eyes. But as it turns out, this LG LCD TV is simply a dream come true.

If what’s holding you back is its 26” in screen, you must read along. In all probability you’ll feel doing some rethinking and a possible purchase.

The resolution being offered here is 1366×768 with a contrast ratio of 15,000:1. The images are supported by brightness of 500cd/m2. The viewing angle as claimed by the company is 176/176. Pretty impressive for a 26” TV, right? The LG 26LG300 saves you a lot of money and extra equipment as it is HD ready and has built in digital Freeway. With BBC and ITV offering many broadcasts on Freeway, you get the kind of advantage you were perhaps not even looking for.

Its audio doesn’t disappoint either. It has very good speakers and uses SRS TruSound XT for its audio output. To ensure reduced noise it makes use of xD Engine technology.

Coming to connectivity options, it has 2 HDMIs, 2 Scart connectors, RGB and other standard audio video ports. All of these are in the rear except one each for headphones, composite audio/video input and S-video input on the side.

Honestly, I did enjoy watching movies on it and would put it very high because of its performance, even higher than many of its costlier cousins.
