LT-26DE9BJ 26in: Impressive TV and Picture Video Recorder from JVC

I am a bit confused as to where I should start singing the praises of the LT-26DE9BJ TV; that is how good it is. But I have to make a start somewhere so lets talk about its most exceptional feature first: Freeview+.

For the uninitiated ones, Freeview+ is a recording system and here this product has 160 GBHDD, that’s a deadly combo. It implies that it would support almost a week’s Electronic Programme Guide, can record a particular programme only with out worrying about any unwanted breaks in between. There are a whole plethora of options included in the JVC television but my personal favourite is the option of accurate recording, i.e. it’ll record based on the data from the broadcaster rather than time settings.

Let’s shift our focus to the picture quality now. The screen is W-XGA with 1366×768 pixels. It offers a dynamic contrast of 5000:1. For image processing it employs DynaPix Plus engine. What it manages to do is it’s very effective with its colour management and contrast enhancement. And yes, let me reiterate, this TV is HD ready.

Coming to terminals, it has 2 HDMI inputs. There are two euroconnectors and one scart. Its sound output is fine with total power output of 10W, RMS. You can also store 100 (analogue) or 999 (digital) channels. The JVC LT-26DE9 has simple looks and may not be very attractive but that’s no weakness when its price and other features are taken together. It’s definitely worth buying.
