“Seeing is believing” has been the mantra for many and having 3-D Technology is the niche in software entertainment development. The “Consumer Electronics Association” (CEA) and recent research into entertainment technology has resulted in the belief that, the more people enjoy entertainment with “3-D” technology, the more they want the 3-D capabilities for their own home entertainment system. The conducted research was based on a telephonic survey of 1002 US citizens in December 2008. It went onto reveal 77% of US citizens who have watched a 3-D film would opt for this format when again watching movies in their home.

Individuals purchasing entertainment systems for their home, TV sets or even video games are choosing technology with a 3-D Video system. A total of 26 million people are opting to have a 3-D system in their very own households to enjoy their entertainment to the fullest. They find the fact of holding their head still, and putting on special glasses to watch a 3-D video bring them immense pleasure and give them the ultimate entertaining experience. Perhaps the only thing preventing HD entertainment from being as popular as 1080p entertainment has become, with accessible devices like the Philips 42PFL5603D, is having to wear those annoying and flimsy 3D glasses. However this hassle of special glasses was no more an issue when in 2009 the international CES produced a new 3-D technology that did not have the requirement of special glasses.

The research reveals the masses interest in having a cable 3-D satellite and further also reveals that many consumers are willing to pay any amount that is required to own a 3-D system giving them ultimate satisfaction in entertainment.
