Pioneer Kuro KRP-500A: Large Screen Plasma is still an Excellent Option
Author: daniel // Category: TelevisionThe Pioneer KRP-500A is a 50 inch plasma TV. It is HDTV ready unit and is designed with an extremely sleek body, measuring only 64 mm. This Pioneer Kuro TV can be easily mounted with a single cable, onto the wall and is of a glossy “black finish” with tints of brushed metal on the top portion of the unit. The connectivity’s for this Pioneer plasma TV are fixed onto a separate box as the unit is too thin to accommodate it. This is in fact the oddest features of this TV set where it comes with two separate boxes.
The Pioneer Kuro KRP-500A has no inputs fixed onto the rear with the exception of just the power input and connections for the speaker. There is also an input that connects to the stylish looking media receiver. This receiver is equipped with 3 HDMI sockets, 3 scart inputs and a component video input. There is also a video output which connects the screen to the receiver and also digital, analogue audio opening and an Ethernet socket are built into the media receiver. This receiver is used to watch SD and HD programmes along with satellite television through a “built in satellite tuner”.
The front portion of this pioneer plasma TV has only a LED light that glows red on standby and blue when in use, other than which the front portion is bare of any other buttons or connections. The Pioneer KRP-500A Kuro comes with an extra feature of the magnetic eye, which helps adjust the “ambient light conditions” through an independent light sensor. The Plasma KRP-500A from Pioneer, a DLNA support, with Kuro link and the various connectivity sockets performs great quality and is certainly and impressive model to have in your home.
