The Sony BDV-Z7 (BDVZ7) is the delightfully compact home theatre system from the house of the electronics giant, Sony Corp. It consists of just two satellite speakers and a subwoofer, with the help of which it delivers first-class virtual surround sound. With a Full High Definition output over HDMI, the home cinema system boasts a high quality DVD and Blu-ray player.

The 2.1 Ch home cinema system has a maximum RMS power output of 350W at 10% Total Harmonic Distortion. It offers Full HD 1080p up scaling from SD sources, thus enabling you to get the best results from your DVD collection. The Sony BDV-Z7 (BDVZ7) comes with a remote control whose wide range allows you to easily fill even the largest of living rooms with clear audio. A compact cradle called TDM IP-20 is included in the box which allows you to release your favourite music tracks and videos stored in your iPod or Apple iPhone.

The Sony BDV-Z7 (BDVZ7) supports DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, DTS-HD Master Audio audio codecs and Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus. It consists of a portable Audio Enhancer function that enhances the quality of compressed music such as MP3 files. There is a built-in Ethernet port in the Sony home cinema system with the help of which and an internet connection, you can take full advantage of BD-live discs and view exclusive downloadable content. Another highlight is the optional Digital media port that helps you easily release digital music stored on your PC, mp3 player or Bluetooth mobile phone. The Xross Media Bar (XMB) graphic user interface is included for easy navigation and operation of your home cinema system.

    A very informative article on this product.Im in the market for a system having just bought a Sony Bravia 40in LCD and this system seems to tick the boxes.

    Did you plug it in? What did it sound like to you? This “review” seems like nothing more then a copy/paste from the sony site’s product description with a couple of words changed. Not really useful at all.
