Panasonic SC-BT100 Blu-ray: Bound to mesmerize your senses
Author: kate // Category: UncategorizedOne great way to spend your recreational time is no doubt in front of a Home Cinema System that is capable of producing some spectacular images, in sync with some mesmerizing sounds. It will not only cheer up your mood but also stimulate your senses. The newly launched ‘SC-BT100 Blu-ray’ Home Cinema System is certainly a positive step in that direction and does come with many cool and innovative features. One advantage of the system is how all its different component parts are in perfect harmony with one another. This is actually quite commendable, considering the generally perplexing hardware related issues associated with Blu-ray’s HD audio formats, which always makes it daunting to put together a high-definition blu-ray home cinema system.
The system is beautifully designed in all-black attire, accompanied by some tasteful green lights and flashes of silver. Though the Panasonic BT100 a 3.1-channel system in essence, you nevertheless have the option of adding two pairs of SB-HS100A wireless rear speakers to create a full 7.1 setup. The system’s 1.3 version HDMI output, on the other hand, supports Deep Colour should anyone ever decide to release any content, plus Viera Link.
Another intriguing feature of the system is that it has an all-digital port that is joined by component, S-video and composite video outputs, as well as optical digital audio output and input. The latter option, in particular, allows you the luxury of playing some mesmerizing surround sound from a Sky box. The conversion of stereo sound into surround sound is simply awesome as is done by the unit’s on board Dolby Pro Logic IIx and DTS Neo: 6.

I just bought an SC-BT100. I’ve plugged the SKY Digibox analogue (L & R) ports into the AUX IN (L & R) on the BT100 - can this analogue stereo signal be converted into surround sound by the BT100? At the moment it seems to only be played out of the L & R front speakers. The SKY Digibox doesnt have an optical/digital out port.
Thanks for your help
