D60 DLP Projector, another Domino series marvel from SIM2

People are always caught between going for the best technology and getting something that fits easily into their budget. Most of the products only offer either and the consumers usually end up as losers. This is exactly where Sim2 has scored with their D60 DLP projector that they launched with home cinema enthusiasts in mind.

Keeping with its promise of providing the best technology, SIM2 has used Texas Instruments‘ (TI) DarkChip3TM 0.95” 1080p chipset that ensures you get 1920×1080 pixel resolution, which is more than most DLP projectors on the market including successful models lie the Optoma HD65. DynamicBlack technology of TI that works wonders in contrast-enhancement gives this projector an extra edge. The combined effect of these is the soothing and real pictures. You don’t feel irritated as it usually happens due to brightness, brightness and colour related issues.

Coming to its lens, it is of very good quality and offers the option of manual zoom. The Sim2 Domino projector further employs Full BrightColor technology. The electronic lens shift that it offers is vertical lens shift of +60% / -40%, with digital keystone adjustment.

One point that need be mentioned here is, though the typical contrast ratio offered is 4000:1, it goes up to >10000:1 with Dual Iris. That’s what the company claims and the results also don’t seem to be too far behind. Also, the lamp used has power of 200W and its average life is expected to be 2500 hrs.

In the group of analogue input/outputs, it has composite video, S-video, component Y/Pb/Pr and RGB ports. As for digital component, it has 2 HDMIs and that’s the best you can get.

It is less than 10kg in weight and is available in very impressive Matte Black cabinet finish.

As I had pointed out in the very beginning, SIM2 endeavours to offer a best technology product at affordable prices, and that’s precisely what they have delivered.
